Where Is The Impact Shop?
As we’ve been out & about this summer, we’ve happened upon Fair Trade goodness in some surprising places. Budapest is home to a new little store called the “Impact Shop.”
The Shop’s outside signage said “gifts with a purpose. local. social. natural. Your purchase = meaningful work for someone in need.”
And in the window the words “social design. ethical fashion. natural cosmetics. fair trade gourmet.”
This little shop was filled with great products to eat, drink, wear and share, including a special package called “The Impact Box” – a ready-made gift of a collection of treasures from the store.
This little shop showcases products made in Hungary by talented hands in small communities who might not otherwise have opportunities to earn income to support themselves & their families.
We invite you to check them out online. You can find their website HERE.
We also found Fair Trade deliciousness in abundance in airport “everything” stores. Tony’s Chocolonely is good stuff & there was so much of it! Shouldn’t every airport “everything” store have bountiful displays of Fair Trade chocolate & snacks!
We love learning & sharing about Fair Trade. One of our favorite Fair Trade shops shared an idea and message that we want to adopt, expand a bit and share with you. Maybe you’ll want to share it with others too.
Every day, whether in-person or online, we encounter products to eat & drink, wear & share. Let’s Be “Fair” Out There!
