See The Difference You Have Already Made:

ONE ASCENSION is making a difference in Ukraine and Eastern Europe now!

For the past three years, Lutheran World Relief has shipped thousands of quilts and kits to Ukraine, Georgia and Bosnia. We received information from LWR that some of the quilts and kits we made at Ascension have been delivered in Georgia.

More importantly, since LWR has already established a network of partners in Ukraine and Poland, LWR knows which non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are reliable, trustworthy and capable to deliver these gifts of love and hope to those who need them.

For decades, Ascension has been making quilts and kits for distribution by Lutheran World Relief after natural disasters and conflict driven emergencies. In 2021, One Ascension made and shipped over 1,000 school kits and personal care kits, and 54 quilts to Lutheran World Relief.

THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LOVE with our neighbors in need and letting them know they are not alone. Your gifts are an immeasurable blessing to families around the world. They provide emergency relief for refugees fleeing.

A little girl is warmer because of a QUILT sewn. A father is happy because his children received SCHOOL SUPPLIES and a bag to carry them. A mother is learning a new skill that will provide income for her family because she’s learning to sew using a FABRIC KIT she received. A grandmother has regained her dignity because she was able to bathe using the soap inside a PERSONAL CARE KIT. And a baby is sleeping soundly because he is swaddled in a soft blanket from a BABY CARE KIT.

YOUR love is reaching our neighbors. We are the hands and feet of Christ in our world.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY: In 2022, we are initiating plans already to make more kits and quilts than in 2021, when covid was still restrictive. YOU can help today by volunteering to help make quilts at Ascension.
