Grace and peace to you my sisters and brothers in Christ!
The story of the Good Samaritan is one of the most well-known stories of Jesus. Many places even have “Good Samaritan laws.” These laws, which got their name from Jesus’ story, provide legal protections for those who go out of their way to help others.
A good Samaritan has become synonymous with someone who helps in extraordinary ways. Because of this, we might think we know all there is to know about this parable that Jesus tells. But let’s take another look.
It is not only a powerful example for Christians to follow but a wonderful glimpse into Jesus’ master storytelling ability.
I can’t wait to worship with you this weekend!
Blessings,

Michelangelo
One of the greatest creators of sacred art in history is Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known simply as Michelangelo. Join Pastor Steve for this two-part Adult Ed series on Michelangelo and his journey in creating the Pieta, the Sistine Chapel paintings, and his statue of David.
The class will feature Bishop Robert Barron’s “The Pivotal Players” video in which Bishop Barron and his team travel to locations that played a significant role in the formation and vocation of Michelangelo, which in turn formed the life of the church.

Creation Care Tip
Don’t Step on a Bee Day is an awareness day observed on July 10 of every year. The day focuses on the importance of saving bees and their contribution to the environment.
Bees play a major role in the balance of the ecosystem by pollinating one third of the food we eat. Due to pollution, deforestation, climate change, and the use of chemical insecticides, bees have been tremendously affected, which in turn results in decreased food production, honey production, etc..
From this day, adopt a few habits to protect bees by not stamping bees, keeping them from fire, creating a garden with water and little hide holes for bees and a lot more. On this day, spend some time reading about the protection of bees and spread your knowledge to others.
